WEEK 10 NEWS
Year 6 had a SUPER busy week in Week 10. We hosted the Open Day, organised the disco, participated in a Leadership Day with other year 6 students on Zoom, so we could reflect on our role as Year 6 Leaders. We finished the week hosting our weekly Merit Assembly. We also focused on our research for the biography about our notable person, as well as wrote personal learning goals for Term Two.
I am so proud of the growth in the students so far. Big efforts are being made to be respectful, confident and dedicated student leaders.

We are learning about Portraits and how to create a realistic interpretation. We called on an expert today... Here's looking at you......
School Toilet Survey
Research in Australia and abroad, commonly finds students are dissatisfied with their toilet facilities so much so that students often avoid going to the toilet at school. Research shows something as simple as bright colours, positive affirmations can create a pleasant, welcoming space. It is the School Advisory Councils intention to ‘bring new life’ to our existing school toilet blocks by firstly surveying the children to find out how they feel about using the toilets at our school.
Please support your child to complete the survey using the link below https://forms.gle/b47mC9eqV5Vyd973A

6B Hopes and Dreams for 2022
6B wish to have a great year with our leadership teams and be outstanding role models for the younger years. We hope to shape the school and define what Year 6 at St John’s is all about. We are looking forward to all the carnivals and camp. We wish to stay in the classroom all year round and see the end of Covid restrictions. We hope to become independent and mature learners, ready for high school and make a difference to our school that will be remembered.
