Term Two Homework Grid
This Term all details about homework for the term, are available here, on the 'Year 6 Term 2 Homework Grid' below. You will be completing weekly tasks for Diary Organisation, Reading and Maths. Extra tasks or changes related to our learning topics will be notified via the Weebly and Google Classroom. Please read the grid carefully to identify where to find or complete the task. The Grid is also available on Google Classroom where you can click on the Studyladder links. You might like to print this page and tick the checklist off each week as you complete the tasks.
Weekly Diary Organisation
Each week you will use your diary to organise your week and complete all homework tasks. Your diary is to be handed in each Friday with a parent's signature.
Recording your reading in your diary
You will continue to record your home reading in your diary. You will also be completing a reading response task each week.

Term One Week 11 Home Learning Instructions
Home Learning Tasks
Diary Organisation: 📕Write down the events for the week. Work out a plan for when you can complete Home Learning.
Reading: 📚Record your nightly reading in your Diary - have a parent sign it. Please hand it in on Friday.
NON: 🧔 Biography good copy Published with photo - Please save it in your Google Classroom Folder.
Maths: 🔢Choose a new Maths Puzzle to complete. Stick it in your homework book and do the working out in there too.
Religion: 🤼Leadership Day activity.
-Choose a scripture passage on light. (See list of suggested scripture quotes attached to Google Classroom Task)
- Create an artistic representation of this quote in your Homework Book e.g. illuminated text, collage, drawing, painting.
Term One Week 10 Home Learning Instructions
Night of the Notables: 💆♂️Complete your paragraphs for each subheading in the biography of your notable person. You can write this in your Homework book and hand in on Friday or Type them in a Google Doc and submit on Google Classroom. Make sure you save it in your NON folder. Please attach on GC - not shared with me.
Maths: 🔢Complete the Maths Puzzle you took home today or from the documents attached to complete in your Homework book.
Reading:📖 Record your daily reading in your diary. Have a parent sign your diary. Bring your diary to school on Friday.
Show evidence of your planning. Write down when you can do each task in your week.
Term One Week 9 Home Learning Instructions
NON: 🧔Start to gather more information on your notable person. We will be learning how to write a biography this week in class. Keep taking notes under headings. Eg Life, significant achievements, charity work.
MATHS: 🛑Properties of 2D shapes activity on Google Classroom
READING: 📖Record your reading in your diary, including any research reading for NON.
Term 1 Home Learning Expectations
Reading📚: Each child is required to read for 20 - 30 minutes each night. Please record your reading in your diary. Ask a parent to sign your diary at the end of the week.
DIARY📖: Please bring your diary home each day and back to school each day. Please talk with your family each week about the events or notes in your diary.
Term One Week 6 Home Learning Instructions

Maths: Polygon 24 Hour puzzle. Cut out the pieces and re- create in your homework book. Reading: Record your daily reading in your diary. Bring your diary back to school on Friday. History: Complete 'Life as a Convict' Task. Check Mrs O'Connell's feedback. Religion: Find Photos of your sacraments and add to slides attached. |
