This Week 7 we have been working on our SPELLING SKILLS -  We have learnt the many ways we say /0r/

Mrs Sheehan taught the children there are so many ways to make the sound /or/   It could be

Children then completed a dictation with a cloze passage to see which words were needed to make it correct.  We talked about using SOUND Strategy and Visual Strategy.

Week 5 - Lectio Divina

In Western Christianity, Lectio Divina is a traditional monastic practice of scriptural reading, meditation and prayer intended to promote communion with God and to increase the knowledge of God's word.  This week we read from Matt 12: 9-13 THE MAN WITH A CRIPPLED HAND.  Children chose a word or phrase which SPOKE to them.

BIRTHDAYS 

Week 4 - We have been learning some cool things in SCIENCE in regards to heating and melting.  We set up TIME LAPSE PHOTOGRAPHY ON this icblock and hypothesised why it melted.

HAVING SOME FUN - We have been learning about 3D shapes - Look what we built

Week 3 - Cultures of Thinking - 321 Bridge -  This week we discussed Australia Day.  We thought of words, questions, metaphors and similes.   We learnt that for some in was a day of celebration and for our Indigenous People - a day of sadness.

Week 2 - The Majority of children completed MAI'S -  This will help inform our practice on how we can help you child with Maths.

Poppy came in to visit her new class briefly and it was all smiles from the students and the Golden Retriever

The Rain didn't dampen our spirits - we even managed to play some Sport in the Hall.
