Using technology is an everyday part of the lives of the St John's children. They have been born into a digital age and as digital natives, they can sometimes be more comfortable and confident with technology than the parents and teachers!
But being safe, respectful and responsible users of technology is everyone's job and here are some links to help both kids and parents to ensure technology helps and doesn't hinder our lives!

Our primary students learn about cyber safety and how to keep safe when online. Some important details are- 1.Turn off your GPS settings when taking photos. 2. The minimum age for Snap chat and Instagram is 13+. 3. Average age of a person playing online games is 30! 4. Be careful when posting photos, make sure there isn't any information that can identify you such as your name or your school name, landmarks, etc 5. Don't share other people's personal information online. 6. Make sure you have STRONG passwords. 7. IGNORE, REPORT, BLOCK any inappropriate words, phrases or images. 8. Make sure you use devices in the lounge room or kitchen, NEVER in your bedroom. 9. Check with a responsible adult, before you go on a website or app for the first time. 10. Even if you delete photos or information, it is still stored in the hard drive.
